The vision for New Day Treatment Center is part of my life story. My name is Rose Watson. I have been a nurse for over 30 years. In 1995, I founded Family Nursing Services, Inc. in Elkhart, Indiana after years working as a home health care nurse.
My dream and vision for a quality Addictions Recovery Home comes from a passion to change / break the cycle of addictions, so that not one more child, parent or friend looses a loved one to the vicious monsters called alcohol and drugs. 
I survived a childhood of fear and confusion due to alcoholism. There was no support or education available while all of the family suffered. I was the eldest of 7 children, 3 of which suffered from alcoholism.
Now, the legacy lives on as some of our own children live with the “agony of despair” called alcoholism. As our children have grown and now have children, the reality becomes painfully clear that we have a new generation ready to embark on what could be a repeat of the cycle. As viciously as the most deadly cancer, alcoholism and substance abuse claims the lives of our most valued commodities; wives, husbands, children and friends.
At New Day, we realize that we must attack this problem at the very roots of existence and empower those afflicted with the knowledge that they can live a productive, happy life without alcohol and drugs.
